We flew into Dublin, arriving late in the evening. Our hotel was very average but you couldn’t beat the location. We were staying right in the heart of Temple bar, near Trinity college. We were quite tired that night so we didn’t explore the town, choosing instead to wake up early the next day. The […]

The uniqueness of Amsterdam
From Vienna, we flew into Amsterdam for one night. Amsterdam city itself is fairly easy to navigate and many of the sights that we wanted to see were in a central area. We stayed at Hotel Victoria which is easily the most conveniently located hotel in Amsterdam! We had the canals and the Central Station opposite […]
The elegance of Vienna
After 3 wonderful days in Prague, we left for Vienna. I can’t say I know much about Vienna other than it’s famous for the Sacha Torte cake and the Viennese Choir boys but it is top on my mother’s list of places that she wants to visit so I guess that influenced my decision to […]
Delights of Old Town Prague
As we approached Prague, Katrina and I started getting really excited. I had been snoozing on the coach and unfortunately missed a lot of the beautiful (supposedly) countryside but I managed to get magnificent views of the part just before we entered Prague. It didn’t disappoint. We drove along the Vltava river, which had views […]
A Stop over in Kutna Hora and Dresden
En route to Prague, we stopped by a town in the Czech Republic called Kutna Hora. We were only there for an hour, primarily to see the Ossuary (bonehouse) which is a small church decorated with the bones of 40,000 to 70,000 people. The church was rather creepy, especially with the mounds of skulls and […]
Oh Berlin!
Next it was on to Berlin, the starting point of our 9 day Contiki tour. I haven’t been on an organised tour previously but Katrina has. Katrina and I picked this tour together as both of us really wanted to go to Prague. I was pretty excited about going to Berlin, partly because I was […]
We’ll always have Paris
After 4 wonderful days in London, we hopped on the Eurostar to Pareeeee! Brooke and I took travel sickness tablets and we both promptly konked out. We didn’t realise they were the type to make you drowsy. The Eurostar was so easy and hassle free. We arrived at La Gare Du Nord and got ripped […]
Touch down in Londontown
The girls and I flew out of Singapore on the 9th August. Eunice, Sharen and my two Aunts came to see us off at the airport. Sharen cried when we said goodbye and I was surprised and touched as I didn’t think she’d miss me that much! Hehehe We touched down in London town, and I […]

A Taste of Bangkok
This is my first visit to Thailand, a country I had heard so much about. Bangkok reminds me of a cross between Singapore and Malaysia except it’s cheaper and the locals seem friendlier.
