From Vienna, we flew into Amsterdam for one night. Amsterdam city itself is fairly easy to navigate and many of the sights that we wanted to see were in a central area.
We stayed at Hotel Victoria which is easily the most conveniently located hotel in Amsterdam!
We had the canals and the Central Station opposite us, the Red Light District on our right and the city centre on the left.
We packed plenty into our day there, first visiting the Anne Frank House.
Amsterdam is a souvenir collectors delight and we found some time to visit one of the many souvenir shops.
In the afternoon, we went on a canal coat cruise.
Amsterdam is famous for many things but I think what is commonly overlooked is how pretty it is.
In the evening, we explored the Red Light district, popped in to see a sex show and visited a ‘coffee’ house.
Somehow we got an attack of the munchies and pigged out on chips and mayo
